The Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau is exploring ways to improve holiday season celebrations and activities in Pella.

CVB Director Jill Vandevoort traveled to Chicago this past week with board members to explore the possibility of bringing a Christmas market to the Tulip City sometime in the next few years.

Vandevoort says the board toured a similar setup in Des Moines recently as well, and feels it could be successful in Pella. She says the holiday season is a big boost to many local retailers, and projects like these aim to grow that success for many years to come.
