JEO, the Ankeny consulting firm hired by the city of Knoxville to develop a new comprehensive plan over the coming year held an informational meeting Thursday night to share details about planning and zoning and the methods they will use for the plan.

City Manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News he was pleased with the turnout for the meeting and looks forward to working with JEO. A mixture of about 20 interested citizens, city and county workers attended the session. JEO Project Manager Jeff Ray says his company will work hard to help Knoxville plan for future and create a realistic path to reaching the goals the plan with set. They will use a variety of methods, both in person and online, to engage with people of all ages and demographics and understand their wishes for Knoxville’s future.
A comprehensive plan is a roadmap for a city’s development and will guide city policy over the next 10 to 20 years.
