The Pleasantville Fire Department, Hartford Fire Department, Runnels Camp Town Fire Department and Iowa State Patrol responded to a fire at 458 Highway 316 near Swan around 9:30 a.m.

Crews had the fire under control by 10:30 a.m. Pleasantville Firefighter Joe Van Haalen tells KNIA/KRLS News the fire started in a small building near the main house and may have been related to a malfunctioning boiler. The structure of the building was saved, but water and smoke damage destroyed much of the interior.
