Marion County emergency services responded to the scene of a mining accident at Martin Marietta Aggregates near Harvey on T-17 Tuesday.

Officials tell KNIA/KRLS News a man at the Durham Mine suffered a non-life threatening leg injury and was transported out by helicopter to a Des Moines area hospital. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Rural Fire and Knoxville Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
