The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad finished the first part of the season with a 2-5 record. Not where they Panthers are used to being at this time of the season. However, Knoxville has been dealing with a lot of players that are playing their first varsity minutes of their high school careers, several girls in new roles, and girls coming off of injuries and other issues that got a late start. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, it was a different start to the season for sure. With all of the issues, Uitermarkt says the girl’s attitudes have been positive and they are some of the more coachable players he has had in a while. The Panthers start up their season again on January thirds against Centerville.
