A gingerbread house is being built at the Knoxville Public Library today.

Holly Shelford with the Library tells KNIA/KRLS News adults are welcome to join in the building fun. Candy for construction and eating will be available and creativity will be encouraged. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. and with the two-hour early dismissal from school today, Shelford says it’s a great way for students and their parents to kick off Christmas Vacation. All gingerbread house building materials will be provided by the library. The completed gingerbread house will be on display.
