The Knoxville Optimist Club’s Angel Tree was able to provide gifts to all of the families it hoped to this year.

The tree, at Coffee Connection, was surrounded by gifts donated by the community and Club President Craig Kelley tells KNIA/KRLS News the giving spirit was so great this season Optimists didn’t need to purchase a single gift. In some year’s the club has had to make up any shortfall so that no one goes without a gift, but this season saw an explosion of giving after the first KNIA/KRLS News story on the Angel Tree. Kelley says gifts were distributed to families Tuesday by the Optimists.
