Pella returns to the hardwood tonight with a non-conference doubleheader at home against A-D-M.
The top-ranked Lady Dutch come in at 6-0, while the visiting Tiger girls are 3-5. The teams have two common opponents – Pella Christian and Ballard. Pella beat both of those teams, while A-D-M lost to each of them.
On the boy’s side, Pella is 5-1 and A-D-M is 3-3. Each squad lost a close game to Pella Christian and beat Ballard. Little Dutch coach Mark Core says that the Tigers’ style is very similar to theirs.
“They’re a very perimeter oriented team. I guess I’d call them five guards even though technically a couple of them are more forward type players. They definitely play well on the perimeter and they’re scrappy on defense.”
Tonight’s doubleheader starts at 6:00 at Pella High School. Join Trevor Castle and Mike Buchheit for the live play-by-play, beginning with pregame coverage at 5:45, on 92.1 KRLS.
