The Marion County Board of Supervisors held their first meeting of 2017 Tuesday and Steve McCombs of Tracy took his place on the board replacing retiring Supervisor Jim Kingery.

Mark Raymie was selected to serve as Chair and Craig Agan will serve as Vice-Chair. They decided the appointments of supervisors to county boards, and designated Dr. Earl McKeever as Medical Examiner and Conservation Officer Steve Edwards as ADA Commissioner. They also set official 2017 holidays for Marion County. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt was also sworn into a new term at the meeting, following his unopposed re-election in November.
