The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce tells KNIA/KRLS News counterfeit $50 bills may be circulating in the community.

A local bank has received several $50 bills that were used to make a purchase at a local business. The Knoxville Police Department has been notified. If you receive or encounter any counterfeit bills please notify law enforcement at 828-0554. The Chamber suggests businesses invest in counterfeit detector pens, commonly available at office supply stores.
