Jake Hughes of Johnson and Lane Attorneys in Knoxville is now President of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce.
Hughes tells KNIA/KRLS News he intends to continue things the chamber has historically helped with and taken the lead on in the community, but also wants to see it take a more active role in day to day life in Knoxville. He emphasized the importance of supporting Knoxville Nationals and putting on the annual Living Windows Holiday Parade, but also mentioned the Chamber’s new monthly After Hours events, which spotlight one local business a month and give chamber members the opportunity to network. Hughes will serve a year-long term. He replaced Ben Butler of KNIA/KRLS as President at the start of the year.
