Lawmakers from around the state begin the 2017 Iowa Legislative Session today at the Iowa Statehouse.

For the first time in nearly two decades, the Republican Party has the majority in both chambers and in the Governor’s’ office

State Senator Ken Rozenboom tells KNIA/KRLS News while much of the agenda is yet to be determined, he believes conservative policies will be able to come to the forefront with both chambers having better coordination.

The 2017 Iowa Legislative Session continues through April 28th.
