The PCM Mustangs traveled to Saydel high school on Tuesday and came away with a sweep of the Eagles.

The Mustang girls won 59-12 and the boys took care of the Eagles 50-37. For the girl Katie VandeWall led all scorers with 17 points, Regan Freland added 15 and Alexis Timmins came off the bench to score 12. The Mustangs will now head to Fairfield on Thursday before turning right back around and taking on CMB at home on Friday. For the Mustang boys Freshmen Derek Brown had a big night off the bench to lead all Mustang scores with 16 points as senior Mark Bruxvoort added 13. The Mustangs would lead by 12 at halftime 24-12 and push the lead to 20 late in the third quarter before the Eagles would go on a run led by senior Joe Boehler’s 13 points. The Eagles could not cut it any closer than 12 though as the Mustangs would go on to win by 13. The Mustangs are now 7-4 overall and will look to stay in the hunt for a Heart of Iowa Conference championship as they wrap up this five game road trip before taking on CMB Friday.
