Vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Central College Mary Strey has been elected to a second four-year term on the National Board of the Lilly Fellows Program in Humanities and the Arts. She previously served on the Board from 2007-2011.

Strey, also professor of chemistry and biology, completed her B.A. degree in biochemistry and romance languages from Bowdoin College and her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Dartmouth College.

Central College has been a member of the Lilly Fellows National Network of Church Related Colleges and Universities since 2011. Founded in 1991, the Lilly Fellows Program in Humanities and the Arts seeks to strengthen the quality and shape the character of church-related institutions of learning.
