It is another round of Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars on the basketball courts tonight. The girls will be playing round two, while the boys squads will be playing their third game against each other. The girls game was won by Twin Cedars 50-13 on January tenth. In that game, the Sabers got 17 points from Shelby Denberger and grabbed 40 rebounds, plus held the Saints to just six made field goals. Twin Cedars Coach Mark Bacus tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while both teams have struggled this season, there is not much he needs to say to get his girls motivated. The boys teams will play for a third time this season after once in the regular season and in the Bluegrass Conference Tournament with Twin Cedars getting both wins. Melcher-Dallas Coach Jim Wells tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he feels confident on getting the win on a rival’s home court. The girls game is set to begin at six with the boys to follow.
