The Trumpeter Swan has made a return to Iowa and to the Lake Red Rock area.

Marion County Naturalist Marla Mertz tells KNIA/KRLS News the public might be able to get a glimpse of the majestic bird after concentrated efforts have helped return the Swan to the state. Mertz says the Trumpeter Swan has been scarce in Iowa, so now is a unique chance to see the swans and that it’s nice to see the beautiful animals back at Lake Red Rock.
