The PCM Girls Basketball Team fell in the first round of the class 3A state tournament yesterday afternoon to #1 ranked Sioux Center 71-27.

The Mustangs fell down early due to turnovers caused by the Warriors streamlined press, and didn’t have enough offensive firepower to come back. The Mustangs turned the ball over 24 times, which is actually less forced turnovers than the Warriors average per game, but made only 11 shots from the field. Head Coach Jeff Lindsay told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that they had a good gameplan on how to stop Sioux Center, but knowing and stopping what they are going to do are two separate things. PCM ends their season with a 20-5 record, having only lost to ranked teams, and graduate seven seniors from the squad.
