A head-on collision early yesterday morning claimed the lives of two former Knoxville residents.

The accident happened on highway 65/69 at mile marker 56 just before 4 a.m. 36-year-old Joseph Greubel and 31-year old Ashley Greubel of Indianola, formerly from Knoxville were killed when their southbound 2006 Chrysler 300 crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound semi driven by 31-year-old Bruce Sprague of Chariton. Joseph and Ashley Greubel died at the scene while Sprague did not suffer any injuries.
