The Pella City Council approved the 2018 fiscal year budget at their meeting Tuesday.

The document included nearly $39 million in spending. The council also approved economic incentives to a manufacturer looking to move to the community at their meeting Tuesday evening. A resolution awarding $147,000 in loans and tax credits to Agile Manufacturing was passed, which will serve as a community match for corresponding state incentives. Similar development agreements larger in scope for Castle Metal and Lely North America were the most recent measures approved.
