The Knoxville High School Mock Trial Team (photo above) was named Regional Champions on Thursday with Pella Christian High School coming in as runner ups.

Knoxville’s Nyan Baker was recognized for Outstanding Attorney honors on both plaintiff & defense. Tierney Heffron for Outstanding Attorney on Plaintiff, and Ethan Murra earned nomination for Outstanding Attorney on Plaintiff. Nash Linsley earned Outstanding Witness. Other nominations as Outstanding Witnesses were Trent Walraven, Maddi Graves, and Asa Leonard. The Pella Christian Eagles finished 2nd to the Panthers with representation from Andrea Carballo, Samuel Dahm, Chloe Dembski, Sam Lensing, Kathryn Van Tuyl, Eric Qian, Kitty Gu, Mami Umeki, Lindsay Breon, Grace Heap, Jacque Lensing, and Ben Vos. In Mock Trial events, school size does not matter such as other events or sports. 1A schools can face 4A schools which makes Knoxville High School one of the best 32 Mock Trial Teams in the state.
