State Senator Ken Rozenboom joined the Marion County Republicans for a legislative coffee in Pella Friday morning.

The senator received questions and heard concerns of local residents about the ongoing legislative session. Topics that spurred some debate and at times conflict amongst the group and Rozenboom included Republican efforts to implement voter ID requirements, possible removal of bottle deposits in exchange for increased environmental funding, and oversight of public education dollars going to private institutions if a bill allowing savings accounts were to pass.

State Representative Guy Vander Linden was unable to attend due to a Rules Committee assigned meeting.
