A much-improved junior class coming into the 2016-17 season for the PCM Mustang Boys Basketball Team allowed the Mustangs to compete in a tough Heart of Iowa Conference.

The Mustangs had only one senior on the squad this season, so relied on their junior class of Jackson Thomas, Elijah Sperfslage, and Dayton Boell to up their contributions and leadership. The trio responded with a combined 25.5 points per game, and Thomas earned all-conference honors. The Mustangs ended their season with an 11-12 record, but return a total of 11 players who received regular playing time during the season for 2017-18.
