The Knoxville City Council met in regular session on Monday.

The meeting began with Mayor Brian Hatch reading a special proclamation making March 29th Iowa State Flag Day. Following the proclamation the council approved two special events applications, one for the Sprint Cars and Mason Jars Vintage Market Fair, and the second for the Knoxville Noon Kiwanis Family Fun Fair. The council also approved funding for the 2017 fireworks display. They finished the meeting by adding a new definition to the zoning code for recreational vehicles, and then toured newly built homes from the Knoxville Economic Development Corporation.
