The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad has begun preparations for the upcoming season. The Panthers are coming off another South Central Conference championship…but must replace several players that graduated last year. One was a long time doubles partner to senior Blake McClung. Coach Greg Higginbotham tells KNIA/KRLS Sports depending on what McClung plays this year will have a hand in what many of the other team members do. Another hole Higginbotham will have to fill is the departure of A-J Jackson, who finished fourth at last season’s state meet. He says there will be challenge matches in the next week to see who gets what varsity spot. The Panthers being their season April sixth against Centerville.
