The annual spring statewide tornado drill is scheduled to take place in one week.

Warning Coordination Meteorologist Kelsey Angle tells KNIA/KRLS News they conduct the test every March ahead of the most dangerous time of year in regards to severe weather. Next week is Iowa Severe Weather Awareness week.

Tune into KNIA/KRLS on Wednesday, March 29th at 10 a.m., as immediately following the test, we will highlight our Severe Weather Action Team coverage and talk with local officials, Weathereye, and the National Weather Service with a special program until 10:30 on KNIA/KRLS.
