Dubuque twice rallied to defeat the Central College baseball team Sunday, 10-9 in 10 innings, and 2-1 in the seven inning contest.
The Spartans had defeated the Dutch 8-5 in the series opener Saturday afternoon.
In yesterday’s opener, Central took a 5-3 lead after two innings, fell behind 9-5, then rallied to tie the game before the Spartans won it in extras.
The Dutch jumped out in front 1-0 in the first inning of the nightcap, but Dubuque tied it in the second and scored the game winner in the fifth.
Central is 5-11 on the season, 0-3 in Iowa Conference play, and hosts Nebraska Wesleyan for a single game this Wednesday.
