The Knoxville school board met in regular session Monday.

The board started the evening by watching two presentations. The first presentation was given on the distracted drivers assembly that will inform students about the dangers of driving while texting along with other distractions before prom. The second presentation was given on 21st century learning and technology. The board members as well as members of the audience were given a chance to take a trip using virtual reality headsets. Following the presentations, the school board approved four different trip requests as well as the summer school proposal. The board finished the night approving teacher, coach and sponsor contracts.
