Local educators are invited to learn how to help students prepare for in-demand careers.

The Opportunity2 Economic Development Region and DMACC will be giving a interactive program to Iowa middle and high school educators, counselors and administrators to experience today’s real STEM workplaces and build an understanding of essential concepts for workplace success.The program includes tours and hands-on experiences at regional companies, as well as discussions with education and industry experts. The workshop will take place from June 12th through June 15th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in both Knoxville and Pella. Cost is $120 but $75 of that is refunded to participants upon completion. The workshop includes two units of AEA Recertification Credit. The deadline to register is June 1st or until workshop is filled. For more information or to register click here.
