The Central College baseball team exploded for 25 runs in its two wins over North Central University (MN), 11-0 (7 innings) and 14-1 (7 innings) on Saturday.
Central, who is now 8-11 on the season, combined for 29 hits over the two games and held North Central to just six.
Sophomore shortstop Garrett Saunders set the tone early for the Dutch going 3-for-3 in game one and finished 5-for-6 for the day with three doubles and three RBIs. Saunders extended his on-base streak to 19 games.
Freshman outfielder Tanner Wood of Pella launched his first career homerun during game one and finished 4-for-7 with six RBIs.
Central returns to Iowa Conference play Tuesday with a doubleheader against Luther College at Decorah.
