A public memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 22nd at 1 p.m. to celebrate the life of Pella Corporation’s Chair Emerita Mary Joan Kuyper Farver, who passed away on February 27th. She was 97 years old.

The community is invited to the public service at Second Reformed Church at 612 Broadway in Pella from 1 to 2 p.m. While seating is limited at the church, to accommodate the many attendees, the memorial service will be live streamed at the Pella Community Center and Pella Corporation.

After the service, from 2 to 4 p.m., Pella Corporation will open its doors for a community reception at 102 Main Street.

For those wishing to honor Joan’s memory with flowers, arrangements may be sent to Pella Corporation for the reception. Those who desire to honor Joan’s memory with a charitable donation, memorials can be designated to the following organizations: Central College; Pella Community Foundation; PEO Foundation; and mailed to Mary Joan Kuyper Farver Memorials, PO Box 66, Pella, IA 50219.
