The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will host State Representative Greg Heartsill and State Senator Amy Sinclair at a legislative forum at the ISU Extension Office tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The two legislators will speak with constituents about current legislative issues affecting the state. A topic of discussion that could be brought up during the forum is the current gun rights bill passed by the Senate this past Tuesday. The gun rights bill includes a stand your ground provision that has been a controversial topic across the state. Representative Heartsill told KNIA/KRLS News this past February when the bill was introduced, the purpose of the stand your ground provision is to eliminate the duty of retreat. Other topics that could be discussed during the forum is the governor’s altered state budget, and 20 week abortion ban bill. The forum is open to the public and will run from 5 to 6 p.m.
