Opening the season at the Pella Country Club, Pella’s girls golf team won their second meet against Indianola.

The Lady Dutch shot a 199 to Indianola’s 225. Leading scorers for Pella were Sydney Wiskus (48), Brooke Galezzi (48), Micaela Veenstra (50), with Lauren VanWyk and Halie Veenstra both contributing 53s. They next travel to Newton Tuesday for a triangular with the Cardinals and Oskaloosa.

Pella boys’ golf team started their season with a close loss to a pair of conference foes in a triangular at Dallas Center-Grimes Thursday. Pella posted a 180, with Norwalk earning the win at 168 and DCG at runners-up with a 176.

Ryan Van Wyk scored a 43 for the Little Dutch, with Luke Galeazzi at a 44, Trey Wood at 46, and Ethan Gordon shooting a 47. Pella hosts the 3rd annual Dutch Masters today at Bos Landen Golf Course with eight other schools from across the state, including PCM.
