The Marion County Public Health Department will be holding a free screening of the movie Paper Tigers on Thursday, April 27th.

The screening will take place at the Marion County Public Health Department located at 2003 North Lincoln Street in Knoxville. Stacy Haas, 1st Five Site Coordinator with Marion County Public Health tells KNIA/KRLS News Paper Tigers is a documentary that focuses on an alternative high school in Walla Walla, Washington. It shows shows what the school did to overcome negative barriers such as high dropout rates and low graduation rates. Paper Tigers gets its name from teens that are in a stressful situation can not tell the difference between a paper tiger and a real tiger. The screening will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a discussion and call to action.
