The Knoxville School Board has announced the names of six candidates interested in being appointed to the open school board seat.
Austin Kingrey, Darbie Utterback, Dawn Rankin, Jeff Hileman, Vickie Reed, and William Barnett will all be interviewed for the open board member spot by the school board as part of Monday’s meeting. The open position comes as school board member Leslie Miller announced her resignation. Miller cited time constraints brought on by her business and personal workload as the reason for her resignation. The six candidates will fill the rest of Miller’s term until the next school board elections in September. The interview portion of Monday’s school board meeting will begin at 3 p.m. with each individual being interviewed in 30-minute time slots. The meeting will take place at the Knoxville School’s Administration Building and is open to the public.
