The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce saw two board members resign in April.

Chamber President Jacob Hughes as well as board member Ben Larman both cited the time constraints required would interfere with their ability to serve the board and its membership effectively. Vice President Rick Kingery tells KNIA/KRLS News with Hughes stepping down he is filling the term left by Hughes until December at which time he will begin his own year-long term as chamber president.

Kingery adds, one of the open board member positions was recently filled by chamber member Mike Roberts, but the second position is still vacant. Kingery tells Knoxville residents if they are interested in becoming a chamber member or are interested in filling the open vacancy to contact the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce.
