The Pella High School Class of 2017 earned scholarships and other honors as part of the Dollars for Scholars Awards Night Wednesday.

Students received financial aid for upcoming post-secondary education from numerous community donors. Soon-to-be graduates who completed the Distinguished Service Award also received their graduation cords. Sixty-four students completed over 6300 hours of community service to earn the recognition.

Dollars for Scholars has given more than 3,000 awards worth over $1.2 million in scholarships and grants to graduating seniors at Pella and Pella Christian High School since 2001.
