The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad under new coach Hunter Embray fell in its season opener last night to Southeast Warren three/two on a walk-off base hit. Trace Embray took the loss going 6 2/3 innings allowing just one earned run with six strikeouts and two walks. Hunter Embray told KNIA/KRLS Sports they played well, but he still has some things to work on. Melcher-Dallas baseball is two-and-one on the young season after a 15-5 win over Orient-Macksburg in six innings. Eric Karpan got the win going four innings allowing seven hits, three strikeouts and four walks while Zach Moore finished things off. Ethan Harrington was 4/4 with four runs scored and Sam Houston was one-for-three with three R-B-I. Twin Cedars will travel to Murray tonight while Melcher-Dallas is off until Monday when they take on Woodward Academy.
