Both Pleasantville baseball and softball host Pride of Iowa Conference rival Mount Ayr, and both came away with blowout wins, with baseball winning 17-4 in five innings and softball blanking the Raiders 6-0.

Gauge Van Haalen picked up the win on the mound, while Kyle Amendt had a pair of hits with a double. Abby DeJoode continued her strong start on the season and improves to 3-1 in the circle. Sydnee McKinney also had a pair of doubles at the dish. The Trojans baseball team is now 2-1 while the softball squad is 3-1, and both teams play Martensdale-St. Mary’s on Tuesday.
