The Knoxville City Council will meet in regular session today.

The council will begin the meeting with Mayor Brian Hatch giving a mayoral reading for National Garden Week. Following the reading the council will look to approve the first consideration of an ordinance regarding fireworks sales and discharge. The council will then have a discussion and take possible action regarding a request to place a plaque at the freedom rock. The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. and take place in the Municipal Building Council Chambers.
