Numerous free activities are scheduled this weekend at Lake Red Rock.

Park Ranger Tracy Sprys they will have a program titled “In the Field with a Resource Ranger” at 7:00 p.m. at the North Overlook Picnic area. A resource ranger will lead a walking tour and teach about management tools used to restore prairie savannas and remove invasive species. A Creatures of the Night Hike follows at 9:00 p.m.in the Wallashuck Campground. A presentation about the lives of honey bees will be held by the Red Rock Beekeepers club Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Visitor Center. A fish rearing pond tour will begin at 10 a.m. at Wallashuck Campground. Let’s Go Paddling is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Roberts Creek East Ramp as well. To wrap up the day, Ride with a Ranger will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the North Overlook Campground, in which a park ranger will lead a guided ride along the Volksweg bike trail along the perimeter of Lake Red Rock.
