Both Pleasantville baseball and softball teams fell to Pride of Iowa Conference rival I-35 last night at home, with the baseball team falling narrowly 3-2, and the softball team 9-4.
Trailing 2-0 in the bottom the sixth inning, Gauge Van Haalen hit a two RBI single to tie it, but the Trojans eventually fell in the seventh. On the softball side, the Trojans hung with a ranked roadrunner team and saw some good at bats at the plate. Andie Sowers went 2-4 with two RBI, Makenzie McGriff hit a two run home run, and Josie Sowers went 2-4 with a double. Baseball falls to 7-4 and takes the night off, while softball goes to 6-5 and goes to a tournament at Woodward-Granger tonight.
