Falling behind early and out some starters, the PCM Mustang softball team fell to North Polk last night 7-3.
Errors in the field early on in the game allowed extra Comet baserunners, and North Polk would take advantage smacking a pair of home runs giving them the lead early. The Mustangs offense had plenty of hits to try and get back into the game, but fell just short. Jayci Vos was 3-4 with two stolen bases, Kayla Jennings was 2-3 with a double and a home run, while Katie Vande Wall was 1-4 but had a pair of RBI. The Mustangs suffer their first conference loss of the season and bring their record to 9-3, and will next play in a tournament at Eddyville this afternoon.
