The Knoxville School Board will meet in regular session today.
The board will begin the meeting by appointing Dawn Rankin to the board to fill the position vacated by former board member Mike Helle. Rankin will be sworn in and then take her spot with the rest of the board. Following the swearing in, the board will consider an FFA trip request for the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis from October 24th through October 28th. The board will then consider bids for West Elementary to remove the wood chip playground material and replace it with a rubber mulch material. They will also hear bids for resurfacing the blacktop area which would finish the West Elementary project. The school board will then consider an Employee Wellness Program that would provide an opportunity for Knoxville School District staff to take part in a program designed to create life-long healthy living habits. At the end of the meeting the board will consider plans and procedures for approving late bills. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and take place at the Knoxville School Administration Building.
