The 10th Annual Pleasantville Firecracker 5K is Saturday, July 1st at 8 a.m.

The run will begin at the Pleasantville Football Field. Runners have until June 16th to register for $25 with cost rising to $30 after the 16th. Children 12 years of age and under are $20 and all active military and veterans are free. Organizer for the event Carly Cummings tells KNIA/KRLS News proceeds will go to fund the Pleasantville fireworks as well as local charities such as the food bank. Residents can also register online and receive a $5 discount by clicking here. Runners need to register by June 16th to receive a t-shirt.
