Both the Pleasantville and PCM baseball games were shortened by the severe weather last night, with the Trojans game being suspended in the third with Pleasantville trailing Winterset 1-0, while the Mustangs game was called final in the fourth in a 2-1 loss to Albia. The Pleasantville softball team managed to get their entire game in against Colfax-Mingo, falling 11-1.

In the PCM baseball game, Braden Phifer took the tough luck loss, striking out seven and only giving up two unearned runs. PCM’s only run came on a Preston Van Wyk leadoff triple, and scored on wild pitch. No makeup date has been announced for Pleasantville baseball, while PCM travels to Saydel tonight for a Heart of Iowa Conference matchup.
