Freedom For Youth Ministries in Knoxville will be conducting a Summer Sports Event which will take place from July 10th through July 14th at Auld Park.

Site Director for the Ministries, Kelsey Schippers tells KNIA/KRLS News the ministry wants to get out into the the community and have fun with the youth they are serving. Schippers says throughout the week different sports will be played including, basketball, soccer, flag football, ultimate frisbee, whiffle ball and baseball. Schippers adds, the event is open for all children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Sports will be played from 2 to 4 p.m. each day and is completely free to all participants. Freedom For Youth will hold a grill out on Saturday, July 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. to cap off the week of fun. The ministries will also host a Freewill Donation Car Wash tomorrow at Motor Inn in Knoxville from 9 a.m. to noon.
