Scoring in each of the first four innings, the Knoxville baseball team took down Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont 7-3 last night.
Blake McClung was the winning pitcher on the mound pitching five strong innings, while RJ Roberts went the final two innings in relief pitching hitless ball. The Panthers got only six hits on the night, but patient at bats led to plenty of base runners via walk. McClung was 1-2 at the plate with a pair of RBI’s, while Justin Little also hit an RBI double. The Panthers stay undefeated in South Central Conference play at 10-0 and are 15-3 overall, and have an important doubleheader next Monday against second place Centerville in their next action.
