
The Melcher-Dallas Coal Miner’s Days will be held next weekend.
The event begins the evening of Friday, June 23rd and runs through Saturday, June 24th. Friday’s festivities include, Music in the Gazebo by Ole’ School DJ, chainsaw tree carving, different vendors, pony rides, an inflatable carnival and fireworks at dusk. On Saturday the day will begin with the annual Fire Department 5K Race at 9 a.m. Register the day of race costs $25.00 with all proceeds going to Melcher-Dallas Fire & Rescue. The parade will follow the race at 11 a.m. The day will also include different vendors, an inflatable carnival, kids games, lawn mower tractor pull, live entertainment at the gazebo, kid water fights and a fire department raffle drawing. Festivities begin at 7 a.m. and run until 5 p.m.
