A long road trip did not dissuade the Pleasantville teams of summer on their road trip out west to take on Southwest Valley last night, with the baseball team winning 13-3 in five innings, and the softball squad winning 6-1.
Brandon Gibson picked up his second win on the mound, while Gauge Van Haalen was 3-4 at the plate and Caleb Adreon was 2-3. The Trojans improve to 12-5 on the season.
Abby DeJoode was solid in the circle on the night, allowing only four hits and striking out five. Josie Sowers was 3-4 at the plate with a double to lead the offense. Pleasantville gets back over .500 at 10-9, and both teams play in weekend tournaments later this afternoon.
