The Operation Southern Iowa Job Fair will be held Thursday, July 13th at the Iowa National Guard Armory in Oskaloosa.

The fair which is hosted by the IowaWORKS Southern Iowa, Iowa Army National Guard, and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 3 p.m. The event will begin with retired Col. Scott Visser of Pella speaking at 9 a.m. Veteran Representative with IowaWORKS, Danny Simonson tells KNIA/KRLS News rapid fire interviewing will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will feature 60 second interview with employers for veterans to practice their interviewing skills. From 11 a.m. to 12 :30 p.m. attendees will be invited to take part in an employer resource workshop and working lunch. From 12:30 to 3 p.m. a Civic Leader Event will be held and will include an overview and hands on experience of military related work. Refreshments and lunch will be provided during the fair at no cost. Marion County veterans and employers are encouraged to attend.
